With the C&I Expo and Symposium taking place on 29-30 October, we take a look at the lineup of expert speakers delivering presentations.

The lineup of speakers at the symposium will provide unique insights into how businesses, both retailers and suppliers, can implement changes to stay at the forefront of convenience retailing, with presentations touching on future trends, innovations, and data.

We look at the impressive lineup of speakers from day two of the symposium.

Ren Frisé

With over 19 years of expertise in marketing communications and digital transformation, Frisé now leads Enigma’s digital, data, and technology initiatives as Executive Director of Digital, Data and Technology.

Frisé’s strategic vision has been pivotal in driving Enigma’s digital acceleration, focusing on strengthening the agency’s profile within the Australian market through innovative digital service offerings.

These services span performance marketing, UX/UI design, advanced data measurement, and advanced creative technology solutions. Frisé is dedicated to mentoring emerging talents and promoting a connected creativity approach at Enigma, ensuring tangible impacts on client businesses. His role also involves collaborating with AI experts and software vendors to integrate AI-driven strategies into client projects, truly embodying Enigma’s commitment to real insights, real connections, and real impact.

Bradley Shaw

Bradley Shaw, Manager of External Affairs and Communications at Philip Morris International (PMI), said that his presentation will provide insights into the size and scale of the illicit tobacco market in Australia and what needs to be done to address it.

“The industry working collaboratively leads to better outcomes for all, retailers, suppliers, and customers. We all bring something different to the table and offer unique insights and approaches leading to more effective solutions to our collective problems.”

Before joining PMI in 2022, Shaw worked in state and federal government ministerial offices and in highly regulated commercial industries, including oil and gas and mining.

Daniel Nassif

Daniel Nassif is a trusted expert in payment solutions for the convenience and impulse retailing industry. He has played a pivotal role in shaping the payments landscape for leading brands like Metro Petroleum, TSG, Endeavour Petroleum, and other major groups, helping them streamline operations and unlock new growth opportunities.

Nassif’s extensive experience in driving innovation and his deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by retailers make him a key voice in the sector. He’s passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver seamless customer experiences and boost profitability for convenience businesses. As a thought leader, Nassif continuously explores emerging trends, offering actionable insights that empower retailers to stay ahead in an increasingly competitive market.

Skye Jackson

Skye Jackson has worked in the petrol and convenience industry for almost 20 years, with roles across Operations, Strategy, Format Innovation, Merchandise and Store development. Her passion is to continually evolve the convenience store offer to meet the changing needs of the customer.

Working on multiple award-winning store formats in her career, her current role at 7-Eleven is to lead the Growth and Change area of a business with a very ambitious growth agenda.

Day two of the symposium will take place on Wednesday 30th October, from 10am to 12pm, with registration and networking from 9.15am.
