Mint Fresh IGA Local Grocer Westmead has officially opened at the Westmead Children’s Hospital forecourt.
Offering a range of products, from ready-made meals, fresh produce, microwave meals and instant noodles, barista-made coffee, and café foods, along with the usual essential products, the new store is a major development for patients, families, and staff at the hospital.
Antoine and Richard Rizk, owners of Mint Fresh IGA, said since opening the Mint Fresh IGA Local Grocer Westmead store two months ago, they have been overwhelmed by the support and positive feedback from the hospital community.
“We pride ourselves on being able to listen to our local shoppers, and we ensure that our shelves are stocked with products that they want and love.
“When we were developing the store, we were able to survey patients, families, and hospital staff to gather an understanding of what they would like to see from our supermarket. We’re so happy we’ve been able to meet their range needs whilst providing great value and convenience.”
An important part of the feedback received during the survey was that customers wanted improved access to fresh and affordable healthy food, which Mint Fresh IGA took on board.
“It has been great getting to know the hospital community and hearing their stories, whilst providing them with fresh products that they love. We’re proud to be part of the Westmead Children’s Hospital precinct and are looking forward to continuing to support the local community,” said the Rizks.
