Vegemite has launched a new ‘premium’ blend that is richer and bolder in its flavour.
The new variant of the much-loved sandwich and toast spread is available in a golden 150gram jar as part of a limited edition release.
The jar retails on shelves for $6.99, which is more than double the usual $3 than the original Vegemite costs.
According to a statement, the Vegemite was developed for “Vegemite lovers who are looking for that extra intense and bold hit.”
“Blend 17 takes some of these earlier recipes to bring this richer, bolder taste and the naming is simply in recognition of the year we have been able to bring this to Australians,” it said.
The limited edition range has just 450,000 jars available.
