The South Australian brands have joined forces to create Violet Crumble Chocolate Honeycomb flavoured milk.
Fans won’t have to wait long to try the hotly anticipated collaboration, which is set to hit coolers in Coles Express, Caltex stores and Drakes and IGA stores nationally and Romeo’s and Foodland supermarkets in SA from this week.
Robern Menz CEO Phil Sims said the milk, available as a 500ml bottle, is sure to be a hit.
“We are thrilled to confirm that we have collaborated with Bickford’s to launch the only nationally available chocolate honeycomb flavoured milk in Australia,” he said.
“Violet Crumble is an iconic Australian brand and flavoured milk is part of Australian pastime, so we knew that chocolate, honeycomb and milk would make sense.”
There is certainly demand for the milk in its home state, according to research from Roy Morgan which found South Australians and those in the Northern Territory were the biggest consumers of flavoured milk and iced coffee, drinking 20 litres per year. It also found flavoured milk outsells Coke in SA.
The drink is being manufactured by Bickford’s at its Salisbury South plant using milk sourced from SA based Golden North, representing the best of the southern state, said Bickford’s Group Marketing Manager Chris Illman.
“As an independently owned beverage manufacturer, we’re proud to be partnering with iconic South Australian businesses, Robern Menz and Golden North dairy to bring to life the Violet Crumble Milk across Australia. There has been huge interest from our customer base already and we are buoyant on the potential of this collaboration,” he said.
