Australian pasta brand, San Remo, has for the second-year running been named winner in the ‘2020 Product of the Year’ annual consumer awards, announced at a ceremony in Sydney last week.
San Remo’s ‘Ready Pasta’ range was selected by Australian consumers as the top product in the ‘Pasta and Rice’ category.
San Remo introduced the Ready Pasta range in early 2019, having identified an increased demand from the public for nutritious meals that are affordable and can be made quickly and simply. i
Erik de Roos, Chief Marketing Officer, San Remo, said being chosen by consumers as the ‘Product of the Year ‘for the second consecutive year was hugely rewarding for the team at San Remo.
“It’s a massive recognition of our commitment to ensuring that every Australian family, regardless of their background, lifestyle or dietary requirements, can enjoy a quality pasta meal at home,” said de Roos.
“We know Australians love pasta, but sometimes we just don’t have the time to create a meal from scratch while juggling work and family commitments. Our Ready Pasta range offers a solution, helping Australians to enjoy the versatile, San Remo pasta meal even if they are on the go.”
Over 10,000 Australian consumers voted for their favourite products this year in a broad range of categories. San Remo is the only South Australian business to take out ‘Product of the Year’ in the food category for two consecutive years.
