Suntory Oceania has appointed Gordon Treanor as the company’s first Licensed Sales Director for Australia.
Treanor brings a wealth of experience and industry expertise, with over 25 years of experience in the international beverage sector, including playing a pioneering role as Managing Director for Lion – Europe and APAC, successfully integrating integrated three businesses to deliver a platform to service beer, wine, and spirit brands.
Treanor said the next few years are going to be truly transformational for Suntory and for the ANZ beverage industry more broadly.
“I’m excited to hit the ground running and to have the opportunity to build a best-in-class team as we work to become a $3 billion multi-beverage powerhouse by mid-2025.”
Treanor will establish and lead the Alcohol Route to Market team, a new unit dedicated to executing sales, channel, and customer growth strategies in the Australian market. Together with Mark Hill, Managing Director of Beam Suntory Oceania, and Drew Fairnham, Chief Commercial Officer at Frucor Suntory Oceania, they will establish and deliver a new alcohol commercial function.
Board roles for companies such as Heaps Normal, Remedy Drinks, and Schibello Coffee Group, underscore Treanor’s versatile leadership and strategic agility across a range of beverage groups.
Daniel Fullerton, CEO of Frucor Suntory International, said they believe that under Treanor’s guidance, its licensed team will be a driving force in the Australian beverage industry.
