Ampol is continuing with the revitalisation of its iconic Australian brand with the relaunch of its fuel card brand, AmpolCard.
AmpolCard was initially launched by the brand in 1993, and its relaunch will see it replace the Caltex StarCard as the network gets transitioned over the next two years. The card will give Australians access to Ampol’s network of more than 1,900 sites, as well as exclusive savings through partnerships with local companies.
The transition will see the rebrand of 70,000 customer accounts and more than one million cards currently in circulation.
Through Ampol’s new partnership with Woolworths, customers will be able to collect Everyday Rewards points, and for a limited time, new AmpolCard customers can collect an additional 10,000 points in they sign up by the end of the year.
Brad Phillips, Ampol General Manager of B2B Sales, said the AmpolCard is designed to put money back into the pockets of Australian businesses.
“Whether it be the new partnership with Woolworths, or the integration of accounting software programs Xero and MYOB into the myAmpol portal, we are saving Australian businesses both time and money.
“We look forward to continuing to innovate and expand our offering as we roll out the AmpolCard brand across our network.”
The AmpolCard includes 24/7 support, contactless fuel payments through its app, fuel discounts and access to savings on services and repairs through a new partnership with AutoGuru. It also features roadside assistance delivered through its network of local partners.
A central part of the offering is the myAmpol online account management tool, which provides customers real-time data and reporting as well as tools to manage their fleet.
Both AmpolCard and StarCard will be accepted across the network of Ampol and Caltex branded locations until 2022.
Ampol, formerly Caltex Australia, returned to the iconic Australian name following shareholder approval on 14 May. The national brand roll out across its retail network will begin in January 2021 and be completed by end 2022.
