Local demand for Tyrrells English crisps has led the chip maker to turn to Aussie farmers to supply potatoes for its Australian production.
Following its acquisition of Yarra Valley Snack Food last year, Tyrrells opened a factory in Victoria’s Yarra Valley in late 2015, its first outside the UK.
The company has now launched a new range, Made in the Yarra Valley, which features some quintessentially Brit-inspired flavours, plus an English twist on some Aussie favourites.
Tyrrells offers five seasonings in the Australian made range; Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper, Lightly Sea Salted, Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar, Mature Cheddar Cheese & Chive and the latest addition, Honey Soy Chicken.
In keeping with its English counterparts, the new Tyrrells potato crisps are hand cooked in small batches with their jackets on. All of the flavours are gluten free, most are vegetarian friendly and contain no added MSG.
Tyrrells new Made in the Yarra Valley Crisps are available nationally, with an RRP of $4.49.
