Mobile telecommunications provider Vodafone has joined with the 2017 C&I Retailing Expo as a Gold Sponsor, showing its support for Australia’s biggest convenience industry event.
The two-day event starts on August 23 at the International Convention Centre in Sydney, and will showcase the latest trends in the Petrol and Convenience retailing sector.
The Vodafone team will be located at Stand C11 across the two days, together with distribution partner Yes Distribution.
National account manager for Petrol & Convenience Scott Gibbons said the company had chosen to sponsor the C&I Expo because the Convenience, Route and Petrol segments were crucial to the success of Vodafone’s business .
“We are passionate about the industry, and love to get out and catch up with our retailers, as well as keep across the latest trends in market,” he said.
“The C&I and AACS events are a great way of achieving this, and we are proud of our partnership.”
The announcement of Gold level sponsorship comes in the wake of Vodafone’s new extension of pre-paid mobile credit validity terms, increasing from four weeks to five to give customers greater flexibility over their credit use.
“We’ve just had the launch of our new rate plans, and we will be demonstrating some of our new products and offers about to launch,” Mr Gibbons said.
“It’s also a great chance to meet some of our local sales representatives, as well as our senior leadership.”
Mr Gibbons said that this year Vodafone has set a challenge to ensure that 2017 is “the Year of Prepaid”, striving to ensure the company becomes more innovative, disruptive, and can offer more of a fair go for both retailers and customers,
